IV Sedation

Intravenous (IV) sedation
produces results similar to oral sedation. You will feel very drowsy, while remaining conscious enough to respond to the doctor. The benefit of IV sedation is that it gives our doctors more control over the amount of medication the patient receives and the effects are immediate. Often we hear, “Just knock me out, and wake me up when it’s over.” If this sounds like you, then you may be a sedation candidate. Another great advantage is that the medication produces amnesia about the procedure. Often patients ask us when we are going to get started after we’ve already finished.
